(NYSE: AVG), the online security company™ for 188 million active users, today announced that it has acquired Norman Safeground, the Norway-based international IT security company. This acquisition will help expand AVG’s existing European footprint into the regions supported by Norman Safeground and provide customers with greater product choice and enhanced support services.

Norman Safeground has an established presence and strong customer base across western Europe with offices and users in regions that include DACH, Benelux and the Nordics, which are key growth markets for AVG.
